We’ve added rate limiting to the EasyRoutes API, to keep it fast and responsive for every integration. Requests are now limited per API client, with a steady allowance of 10 requests per second and bursts of up to 120 requests. As part of this change:
- Requests over the limit are rejected with a
429 Too Many Requestsresponse, which includes aRetry-Afterheader giving the number of seconds to wait before retrying. - New response headers on every authenticated response,
RateLimit-Limit,RateLimit-RemainingandRateLimit-Reset, show how much of the allowance is left, so integrations can slow down before they reach the limit.

We encourage developers using EasyRoutes’ APIs to configure a Developer contact email in their EasyRoutes Settings > API tab, so our support team can reach out to the appropriate contact directly if we detect patterns repeatedly exceeding the API’s rate limits.
