Are real-time updates offered for BigCommerce orders?

By default, CSV imports are static snapshots. For real-time updates, use Zapier to push new BigCommerce orders into EasyRoutes automatically, or build a direct integration with the API. This ensures address changes, order edits, or cancellations in BigCommerce are reflected in your delivery routes without manual intervention. See: Zapier Integration

Can I export customer delivery data?

Yes. From the Routes page or an individual route, export CSV files containing stop information (customer name, address, contact fields), timing, driver assignments, and URLs to any proof of delivery items. Use these exports for customer service, accounting reconciliation, or analysis in spreadsheets and external tools.

How does EasyRoutes optimize my delivery routes?

EasyRoutes builds efficient routes by combining your inputs (orders/stops and addresses) with constraints and preferences. It accounts for start and end locations, optional time windows, per‑stop service times, speed factors, and limits such as maximum duration, stops, items, or weight. You can create multiple routes at once, balance stops evenly, or optimize for the fewest routes that still meet your limits. After reviewing the map and stop list, drag‑and‑drop stops to make manual adjustments, then re‑optimize to apply changes.

Can Zapier integrate EasyRoutes with my CRM or ERP?

Zapier’s app directory includes thousands of CRMs, ERPs, and productivity tools. With EasyRoutes as the trigger, you can automatically update customer records in HubSpot when a delivery is completed, or sync invoice statuses in NetSuite when routes are dispatched. This ensures delivery data flows into the rest of your business systems seamlessly. See: Zapier App Directory

Are there API rate limits?

Yes. The EasyRoutes API enforces rate limits to ensure consistent performance for all users. Most workflows run comfortably within default limits when you batch requests, avoid unnecessary polling, and rely on webhooks to trigger updates rather than frequent reads. If you expect sustained high throughput (e.g., large imports or rapid status updates), our team can help you design an efficient approach and advise on limits for your use case.

What are the main benefits of using EasyRoutes with BigCommerce?

By integrating BigCommerce with EasyRoutes, you get a complete delivery management solution: multi-stop route optimization, real-time driver tracking, branded customer notifications, proof of delivery (photos, notes, signatures), and analytics. This turns BigCommerce from a storefront into a powerful logistics tool, helping you scale local delivery with confidence. See: BigCommerce Overview

Can I use the API to import eCommerce platform orders?

Yes. The EasyRoutes Routes API accepts imported stops (customer details, address, items, notes) so you can bring orders from non‑Shopify sources into EasyRoutes. After importing, you can create new routes, add the stops to existing routes, assign drivers, and dispatch. This works for both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web and complements CSV import when you need automation.

How do I manage my active drivers?

Invite drivers from the Drivers & Vehicles tab, then assign a driver seat to activate them. Deactivate drivers anytime to free a seat without deleting their profile or history. You can switch which people occupy seats as staffing changes — ideal for seasonal or on-call drivers. These controls are available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

How do I authenticate API requests?

API access uses tokens you create in your EasyRoutes account. Follow the Getting Started guide to generate a token, store it securely, and add it to requests from your server or integration platform. Tokens work the same way for both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web. Rotate credentials periodically and avoid embedding them in client‑side code.

How accurate are ETAs?

EasyRoutes calculates ETAs from drive times and your configured service time per stop, adjusting for start/end locations, stop priorities, and time windows. As drivers complete stops, ETAs refresh automatically based on actual timing. The best results come from accurate addresses, realistic service times, and consistent driver start times.

Customers see ETAs on tracking pages and (optionally) receive updates via email/SMS.

See: Route Scheduling & ETAs

Can proof of delivery be exported for records?

Yes. While the PoD gallery itself isn’t a single file download, route/stop exports include links to each proof item plus completion timestamps and driver details — suitable for audits, customer service, or further analysis with external tools. Use Analytics for high‑level performance metrics and the Activity Feed to review the exact sequence of events.

Does tracking continue if the driver closes the app?

Yes. EasyRoutes continues to receive driver location while the app runs in the background, as long as device permissions allow background/precise access and battery optimization doesn’t suspend the app. If the user force‑quits the app, turns off location, or the OS stops background services to save power, live updates may pause. Reopening the driver app resumes tracking and ETAs will refresh accordingly.

Does EasyRoutes handle multiple depots?

Yes. You can operate from several depots in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web. For each route, define the start and end locations (a store, local warehouse, or driver’s home base). Filter orders by zone or location tags, build multiple routes, and monitor all drivers together via Route Groups. Printed documents and ETAs reflect different depot travel times automatically.

Do SMS usage fees, prorated monthly subscriptions, and driver seats function the same way on the Shopify and Web platforms?

SMS usage fees and monthly pricing tiers are identical for both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web, with the exception of our Free monthly pricing tier, which is currently only available on EasyRoutes for Shopify.  EasyRoutes for both platforms continues to offer a free 14-day trial of any pricing tier for new users to give a advanced features a test drive.  Both platforms function on the same driver seat model, where you only pay for the number of drivers that are active in your account at any time.

EasyRoutes for Shopify uses Shopify’s native billing tools for all subscription and SMS usage top-ups and monthly invoicing.  EasyRoutes for Web functions on the same principles, but uses an independent billing provider offering industry-standard security and encryption for all transactions.

What types of proof of delivery does EasyRoutes support?

Drivers can capture multiple photos, obtain a customer e‑signature, and add notes at the stop. These items are stored with timestamps and the completion context, and they’re visible to admins on the route and stop record. When enabled in EasyRoutes Settings, customers can see PoD on tracking pages and in notifications.

See: Proof of Delivery

How is real-time driver location shown to customers?

Customer tracking pages can display an anonymized, live driver pin so recipients can see the driver’s progress as delivery approaches. Enable the option in EasyRoutes Settings → Order tracking, and use delivery notifications (email/SMS) to send tracking links automatically. When live location is unavailable (e.g., permissions off), the page still shows status updates and ETAs based on route progress.

How quickly can I get started?

Setup is quick: install EasyRoutes (Shopify) or sign in (Web), connect drivers, select orders with filters, and click Create route. Use the defaults for service times and route options, then print or dispatch to the driver app. Most trial users reach a working route within an hour, often faster with our step‑by‑step guide.

If you import orders from outside Shopify, start with a small CSV or a few manual stops to validate the flow before scaling.

Can EasyRoutes sync Squarespace orders automatically?

CSV import works well for manual workflows, but if you want orders to sync automatically, Zapier or the EasyRoutes API is the solution. Zapier allows you to create automations where new Squarespace orders are instantly sent to EasyRoutes. The API provides developers with even more control, such as syncing fulfillment statuses or building advanced integrations with other systems. See: Zapier Integration

Can proof be shown for attempted deliveries?

Yes. Drivers can add photos and notes for attempts (e.g., no answer, inaccessible). You can make PoD mandatory for Attempted stops, so drivers document the situation before moving on. Attempt proof appears with the stop’s history for admins and, if enabled, on customer tracking pages/notifications to explain what happened.

See: Proof of Delivery

Can EasyRoutes sync BigCommerce orders automatically?

Manual CSV imports work well for smaller batches, but to achieve automatic syncing, you can use Zapier or the EasyRoutes API. For example, create a Zap that triggers whenever a new BigCommerce order is placed and sends it directly to EasyRoutes. Or, for more advanced use cases, use the API to integrate real-time order creation and updates.

See: Zapier Integration

Can I save frequent delivery zones?

Yes. Use the Delivery Zones tool to outline one or more areas on the map, then filter/select orders within those zones to build your route quickly. Zones help planners batch by neighbourhood or service area and pair well with other filters like tags or dates. Once configured, zones are stored permanently to standardize your daily workflow when planning for the same areas.

How do Workflows interact with EasyRoutes notifications and dispatching?

Workflows are closely integrated with EasyRoutes’ existing notification and dispatch systems. This means you can set up a Workflow that not only creates a route but also automatically assigns it to a driver and triggers delivery notifications to customers at the right moments. For example, you could design a Workflow that dispatches a route to a driver as soon as it’s created, ensuring they receive a push notification in the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app. As soon as the driver starts their route, EasyRoutes can send customers an email or SMS letting them know their delivery is on the way. This seamless integration ensures your team doesn’t need to remember to click multiple buttons — communication and route management just happen automatically.

See: Workflow Integrations

Can I preview my notifications before sending them?

Yes. Open any template in the Notifications editor and use Preview with Example Data to see how your message will render, including variables. You can also send a real‑world test by creating a draft order or manual stop with your own contact details, and triggering notifications on a sample route. Preview/testing tools are available for both email and SMS on Shopify and Web.

See: Delivery Notifications – Email & SMS

Can I track my drivers in real-time?

Yes. With Premium or Enterprise plans, turn on live tracking from EasyRoutes Settings → Driver settings. You’ll see a live GPS pin, breadcrumb path, current/next stop, and real‑time status updates on each route’s Tracking tab. Ensure drivers grant Always/Precise location permissions in the Delivery Driver app. Route Groups let you monitor multiple drivers at once.
