Can I automatically dispatch routes to drivers?

Yes. Enable automatic dispatch so newly created routes with a scheduled start time are assigned and sent to the chosen driver immediately — no extra clicks. Use this for recurring daily runs or integrations that create routes programmatically. You can still edit or un-dispatch a route before start time if plans change.

Can I combine Zapier with EasyRoutes Workflows?

Yes. Workflows automate delivery tasks inside EasyRoutes, while Zapier connects EasyRoutes to external systems. Together, they create powerful end-to-end automation. For instance, a Workflow might create a route when orders arrive, while Zapier sends Slack alerts or updates a Google Sheet whenever stops on that route are completed. What data does Delivery Analytics provide?

Delivery Analytics provides a consolidated view of your operations across both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web. Key metrics include total stops and routes, completion rate, attempted/missed deliveries, average delivery time, and per‑driver performance summaries. Use it to compare activity over time, spot bottlenecks, and validate operational changes.

You can filter by time period and specific drivers to focus on a team or individual, then export results to CSV for reporting. For event‑level detail (e.g., when a stop changed status), open the route’s Activity Feed. Analytics refreshes as new delivery events are recorded, so the dashboard stays current throughout the day.

Which plans include real-time driver tracking?

Real-time GPS tracking is included with EasyRoutes Premium and Enterprise plans across both product lines (Shopify and Web). When enabled, you can follow driver position in real time, view a breadcrumb trail of recent movement, and see live stop status/ETAs on the route. Turn it on from EasyRoutes Settings → Driver settings, and ensure drivers grant background/precise location permissions in the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app (iOS/Android).

Is e-signature displayed to customers?

When a driver captures an e‑signature, customers see an indicator and timestamp on the tracking page confirming that the order was signed for. The signature image is stored with the stop for internal use (support, audits) and can be accessed by admins; it is not shown directly to customers to protect privacy.

Does EasyRoutes have an API?

Yes. You can integrate EasyRoutes with ERPs, CRMs, WMS, and custom apps using our API and webhooks. Typical use cases include importing stops from non‑Shopify channels, syncing delivery status and proof‑of‑delivery back to your system of record, and powering external analytics collection. The same platform supports both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Can I re‑optimize a route after it’s created?

Yes. Both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web let you re‑optimize a route whenever plans change. Use this feature after you add or remove stops, change stop priorities, edit time windows or service times, or adjust limits like max route duration and stop limits. You can also balance stops across multiple routes first, then re‑optimize each route to tighten the sequence. If permitted in your Driver Settings, drivers may manually re‑order stops from the driver app or re‑optimize the remaining stops in their route to recalculate ETAs after mid‑route changes. For API‑driven workflows, use the Routes API to programmatically update routes and trigger re‑optimization.

Where can drivers download the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app?

Drivers can install the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) using the official links provided in our Help Center. The app works with both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web accounts; once added as a driver, sign in using the phone number on file and the SMS code sent to that device. After dispatch, routes appear automatically in the app and can also be opened from the push notification's shared route link.

How does EasyRoutes work with orders without an address?

If a Shopify order arrives without a valid shipping address, EasyRoutes highlights it so you can fix the address before planning. Edit the order in Shopify (preferred for data accuracy) or add the correct address details to the stop in EasyRoutes, then refresh and route. For pickup orders, set the address to your store or pickup point so drivers and staff can see the correct location on the route map and in documents. Address completeness ensures accurate ETAs, navigation, and proof‑of‑delivery records.

Can I export my routes for reporting or analysis?

Yes. From the Routes page or an individual route view, export to CSV for all relevant route data points. Exports include stop details, timestamps, driver assignments, and URLs to related proof of delivery (photos/signature/notes). Use these files for accounting, customer service follow‑up, or analysis in spreadsheets or external tools. Exports are supported in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

How does EasyRoutes work with Shopify fulfillments?

EasyRoutes integrates with Shopify fulfillments so your order system stays in sync. Marking stops Ready for Delivery, Out for Delivery, Delivered, or Attempted updates the Shopify fulfillment accordingly and adds the EasyRoutes tracking number/URL. Depending on your configuration, Shopify or EasyRoutes sends the customer emails/SMS. Partial items and multi‑item orders are supported; admins can review fulfillment history on the Shopify order and in EasyRoutes route/stop details.

Can I deactivate a driver seat without removing the driver?

Yes. If a driver is seasonal or temporarily inactive, they can be temporarily deactivated until required again. The driver’s profile, history, and assignments remain in your account, but they cannot receive routes or sign in until re‑activated. This helps control costs without losing configuration.

Can I dispatch a route to a driver from EasyRoutes?

Yes. From any route you can dispatch to a specific driver, or share a route link that allows self‑assignment by your driver pool. Assigned drivers receive the route in the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app (iOS/Android) with turn‑by‑turn directions via their preferred navigation app. For busy days, combine dispatch with Route Groups to release multiple routes at once and monitor progress on a single screen. This behaviour is consistent across EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

How quickly can I get started?

Who should use EasyRoutes for Web?

EasyRoutes for Web is best suited for merchants and service providers who do not have an existing Shopify presence.  Users may currently be using spreadsheets and manual processes to track orders/stops and plan delivery routes, or may be using an alternate eCommerce platform where orders/stops can be exported into a spreadsheet. We also offer an API.

Spreadsheets containing order data can quickly be imported into EasyRoutes for Web to plan and dispatch optimized delivery routes in a fraction of the time compared to manual planning methods.

Can I send customer delivery notifications for WooCommerce orders?

Yes. Even though WooCommerce doesn’t have the same native integration as Shopify, once orders are imported into EasyRoutes they behave the same as any other order. This means customers can receive branded email or SMS notifications, along with live tracking links. This reduces “Where’s my order?” calls and improves the customer experience. Can I customize driver permissions?

Yes. From EasyRoutes Settings → Driver settings, define what drivers can access on mobile. Options include letting drivers manually re‑order stops, re‑optimize the remaining sequence mid‑route, and whether to show sensitive customer data (e.g., email, phone, notes). These controls apply to both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web so you can tailor the experience to your policies.

Can I schedule routes ahead of time and share ETAs?

Yes. Set a scheduled start date and time when creating or editing a route. EasyRoutes will use that schedule — plus stop time intervals and any delivery time windows — to calculate ETAs for every stop. Customers can receive their individual ETAs via branded tracking pages and optional email/SMS notifications. If plans change, simply edit the route's schedule, re‑optimize the route, and ETAs will update automatically.

Can I include proof in Shopify notifications?

Yes. If you use Shopify’s native notifications, you can insert proof image URLs into the Delivered or Missed Delivery templates so customers see photo links in those emails. This is optional — EasyRoutes notifications can also include tracking links that show PoD on the hosted tracking page. Choose the path that best matches your communication setup.

How do I add a driver to EasyRoutes?

Access the Drivers & Vehicles tab from the EasyRoutes navigation menu, click Add driver, and enter the driver’s name and phone number. EasyRoutes sends the invite; the driver installs the Delivery Driver app and signs in with an SMS code. Assign a seat to activate them and dispatch their first route.

Is Zapier available for both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web?

Zapier integration is available whether you’re using EasyRoutes for Shopify or EasyRoutes for Web. Shopify users can extend native integrations with Zapier for additional automations, while non-Shopify users can rely on Zapier to connect EasyRoutes with their eCommerce, ERP, or POS platforms. This makes Zapier a universal automation layer for all EasyRoutes users. See: Platform Support

Does EasyRoutes work with Shopify’s built-in notifications?

Yes. In EasyRoutes for Shopify you can choose between EasyRoutes’ customizable notifications and Shopify’s built‑in notifications. When using Shopify templates, EasyRoutes maps delivery events (e.g., Out for Delivery, Delivered; Missed Delivery for Local Delivery) to Shopify’s corresponding notifications and attaches the tracking link on fulfillment. To prevent double‑sending, review Shopify’s notification settings and disable overlapping templates when EasyRoutes emails/SMS are enabled.

Does EasyRoutes for Web offer the same features as EasyRoutes for Shopify?

The majority of EasyRoutes’ core route planning and optimization features are included in both products, including our intuitive user interface, customizable route options, and visual route planning via map views.  

EasyRoutes features that rely on Shopify-native functionality or APIs (such as Shopify email & SMS notifications, order tags, subscription order generation, and fulfillment workflows) are not currently available on EasyRoutes for Web.  Select EasyRoutes automation tools (including import automation rules) are also currently exclusive to EasyRoutes for Shopify.
