Can I dispatch a route to a driver from EasyRoutes?

Yes. From any route you can dispatch to a specific driver, or share a route link that allows self‑assignment by your driver pool. Assigned drivers receive the route in the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app (iOS/Android) with turn‑by‑turn directions via their preferred navigation app. For busy days, combine dispatch with Route Groups to release multiple routes at once and monitor progress on a single screen. This behaviour is consistent across EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Does the Activity Feed capture IP address and device info?

Yes, when available. Expanding an Activity Feed entry and opening its details shows who initiated the event — a user’s email address (or Shopify user ID) or a driver’s name — along with the IP address and device details captured for that action. This makes the feed useful for tracing changes and for compliance review. Available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

What kinds of proof of delivery can EasyRoutes capture?

Drivers can capture multiple photos, obtain a customer e‑signature, and add notes at the stop. These items are stored with timestamps and the completion context, and they’re visible to admins on the route and stop record. When enabled in EasyRoutes Settings, customers can see PoD on tracking pages and in notifications.

See: Proof of Delivery

How does route optimization work on EasyRoutes?

EasyRoutes builds efficient routes by combining your inputs (orders/stops and addresses) with constraints and preferences. It accounts for start and end locations, optional time windows, per‑stop service times, speed factors, and limits such as maximum duration, stops, items, or weight. You can create multiple routes at once, balance stops evenly, or optimize for the fewest routes that still meet your limits. After reviewing the map and stop list, drag‑and‑drop stops to make manual adjustments, then re‑optimize to apply changes.

How is real-time driver location shown to customers?

Customer tracking pages can display an anonymized, live driver pin so recipients can see the driver’s progress as delivery approaches. Enable the option in EasyRoutes Settings → Order tracking, and use delivery notifications (email/SMS) to send tracking links automatically. When live location is unavailable (e.g., permissions off), the page still shows status updates and ETAs based on route progress.

Do SMS usage fees, prorated monthly subscriptions, and driver seats function the same way on both platforms?

SMS usage fees and monthly pricing tiers are identical for both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web, with the exception of our Free monthly pricing tier, which is currently only available on EasyRoutes for Shopify.  EasyRoutes for both platforms continues to offer a free 14-day trial of any pricing tier for new users to give a advanced features a test drive.  Both platforms function on the same driver seat model, where you only pay for the number of drivers that are active in your account at any time.

EasyRoutes for Shopify uses Shopify’s native billing tools for all subscription and SMS usage top-ups and monthly invoicing.  EasyRoutes for Web functions on the same principles, but uses an independent billing provider offering industry-standard security and encryption for all transactions.

Can I customize driver permissions?

Yes. From EasyRoutes Settings → Driver settings, define what drivers can access on mobile. Options include letting drivers manually re‑order stops, re‑optimize the remaining sequence mid‑route, and whether to show sensitive customer data (e.g., email, phone, notes). These controls apply to both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web so you can tailor the experience to your policies.

Does EasyRoutes integrate with Squarespace?

Yes. EasyRoutes supports Squarespace orders through multiple integration methods. The simplest way is exporting orders from your Squarespace dashboard to CSV and importing them into EasyRoutes. For automation, you can connect Squarespace with Zapier to send orders directly into EasyRoutes, or build custom workflows with the EasyRoutes API. This ensures Squarespace merchants can take advantage of the same delivery optimization and tracking tools available to other platforms.

See: Squarespace Integration

Is EasyRoutes good for same-day delivery?

Yes. EasyRoutes is built for fast‑moving operations. Select orders, click Create route, and dispatch in a few steps. When new requests arrive, add them to an active route, re‑optimize the remaining sequence, and the driver’s app updates immediately. Customers can receive status notifications and view tracking links with dynamic ETAs. Use Route Groups to coordinate multiple drivers for peak periods.

How do I import BigCommerce orders into EasyRoutes?

To import BigCommerce orders, export them in CSV format from your BigCommerce dashboard. Then log into EasyRoutes, go to Orders → Import new CSV, and upload the file. EasyRoutes will map fields like customer name, address, and items. Once imported, your orders will appear as pins on the map, ready for route optimization.

See: Importing BigCommerce Orders

What export settings should I use in Squarespace?

When exporting orders from Squarespace, ensure you only include “Pending” orders from the fulfillment filter. This ensures you’re working with unfulfilled deliveries that still need to be routed. If only certain products require delivery, you can filter by “Specific product” during export. This gives you precise control over which orders are included in your EasyRoutes import.

See: Squarespace Import Guide

What are driver seats and how do they work?

Driver seats control who can receive routes and use the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app. Assign a seat to any driver in your roster to activate them; deactivate a seat when a driver is seasonal or temporarily off the road. You’re billed only for the number of seats included at your plan at any time. Deactivating preserves the driver’s details and history so you can re‑activate them later without re‑inviting.

Seat management is available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web from the Drivers & Vehicles tab of the EasyRoutes navigation menu, or the Billing tab of EasyRoutes Settings for plan upgrades/downgrades.

How does the AI-powered spreadsheet import map my columns?

When you upload a spreadsheet, an AI assistant reads your headers and proposes an initial mapping of each column to the matching EasyRoutes field — address, name, items, and more. Review the import preview, and if anything’s off, click Edit stops to reassign any column by hand (including addresses split across multiple columns). Import the same layout again later and EasyRoutes remembers your previous mapping. Available for CSV import in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

What are the main benefits of using EasyRoutes with Squarespace?

By connecting Squarespace to EasyRoutes, you get access to a full delivery management toolkit: optimized multi-stop routes, real-time driver tracking, branded notifications, proof of delivery (photos, notes, signatures), and delivery analytics. This transforms Squarespace from just an eCommerce storefront into a complete last-mile logistics solution.

See: Squarespace Overview

Can I keep delivery routes short enough to protect perishable goods?

Yes. You can constrain every route so product isn't in transit too long. Set Max route duration to cap total hours, use Max stops per route or Max items per route to limit load size, and optimization will automatically create additional routes rather than overrun your limit. Add time windows for the most sensitive stops so they're served first. Available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

See: Route Options · Max items/weight per route

Will customers see proof of delivery along with live driver tracking?

Yes. Proof of delivery (PoD) captured in the driver app — photos, signature confirmation, and driver notes — is attached to the stop and can be surfaced on the customer’s tracking page. Enable PoD display in EasyRoutes Settings → Order tracking, and use notifications to share links automatically when a stop is delivered or attempted. PoD is also visible to admins on the route and order records for auditing and support.

Can I filter or search the Activity Feed (by user, date, route, or event type)?

You can focus the Activity Feed by scope: the Dashboard feed shows every route and stop event across your account, while opening a specific route’s (or Route Group’s) feed narrows it to just that route or group. Entries are listed chronologically, and each can be expanded for details or clicked to jump straight to the related route or stop. Activity data can also be exported for record-keeping. Available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Do I need coding skills to connect BigCommerce with EasyRoutes?

You don’t need to code to connect BigCommerce with EasyRoutes. Zapier provides an easy no-code path to automate order syncing. For teams that need more complex, real-time integrations, the EasyRoutes API allows developers to customize imports, fulfillments, and route triggers. This gives you flexibility to choose between no-code and developer-driven solutions.

What are EasyRoutes Workflows?

Workflows in EasyRoutes are powerful automation tools that let you design and run delivery management processes without needing to handle every step manually. Think of them as “if-this-then-that” rules that connect your orders, routes, and driver dispatching into a seamless flow. Instead of relying on a dispatcher to constantly create routes, select orders, or assign drivers, Workflows can do these repetitive tasks for you automatically.

For example, you could create a Workflow that listens for new Shopify orders tagged as “Local Delivery” and automatically builds a route every morning at 9 AM, adds matching orders to the route, optimizes route stops, and assigns it to a specific driver. By reducing manual intervention, Workflows make your operations more consistent, scalable, and error-proof.

See: Workflows Overview

Can I track multiple routes at once?

Yes. When you create multiple routes together, EasyRoutes groups them so you can monitor all active drivers in a single view. The Route Group page shows color‑coded pins, per‑route progress, and live stop updates. Use this view to coordinate dispatch, answer customer inquiries, and rebalance work if needed by moving stops between routes.

See: Real-Time Driver Location Tracking · Route Groups

Can I auto‑dispatch routes?

Yes. Enable automatic dispatch so newly created routes with a scheduled start time are assigned and sent to the chosen driver immediately — no extra clicks. Use this for recurring daily runs or integrations that create routes programmatically. You can still edit or un-dispatch a route before start time if plans change.

See: Automatically dispatching a route

Can drivers mark a stop as attempted/failed and record a reason?

Yes. When a stop can’t be completed, drivers mark it Attempted instead of Delivered from the Update Status section on the stop. They can choose a preset reason (for example, no answer, inaccessible, or Canceled) and add a note or proof of delivery to document what happened. The reason then appears on the stop’s details and feeds into your delivery analytics. Works in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.
