How do I manage my drivers?

How do I enable real-time driver tracking in EasyRoutes?

Go to your EasyRoutes Settings → Driver settings, and enable real‑time tracking. Have drivers allow location Always + Precise location in the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app and their mobile device's settings.

Can I send delivery reminders to customers?

Yes. Configure email/SMS templates (e.g., Ready for Delivery, Out for Delivery, Driver is X Stops Away) to remind customers and include tracking links and ETAs.

Does tracking continue if the driver closes the app?

Yes — provided background location is configured as allowed (Always/Allow all the time) and the OS isn’t restricting the app. Force‑quitting or disabling location will pause updates until the app is reopened.

Location (Always/Precise), Camera/Photos, and Notifications are required for full functionality of the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver mobile app; Storage/Media permissions may be prompted on Android.

How do drivers sign in to the app?

Drivers sign in with the phone number used when they were added as a driver. They’ll receive an SMS code and can then access assigned routes.

Can I attach extra information to stops?

Direct file attachments aren’t supported, but you can add detailed notes to each stop for driver and planner reference.

Can drivers re-order or re-optimize their stops in the app?

Yes — if enabled. Planners can allow drivers to manually reorder stops and or re‑optimize remaining stops mid‑route.

Can I use the API to import orders from other platforms?

Does EasyRoutes require internet to run routes?

Planning and dispatching routes requires internet. Drivers can continue deliveries offline if their route was opened while connected, and updates to the route will sync when a connection is restored.

Yes. Subscription orders from Shopify can be planned like standard orders. EasyRoutes also integrates with popular subscription/checkout apps.

Are there differences for drivers between products?

No. Both EasyRoutes for Shopify and Web dispatch delivery routes to the same EasyRoutes Delivery Driver mobile app for iOS and Android.  

Drivers will have access to the same easy-to-use navigation and inventory tools when delivering routes with either product.  Driver-facing route planning features (such as assignable driver tasks and scheduled driver breaks) are also available on both platforms.

Is the Activity Feed visible to drivers?

No. The feed is visible to admin/dispatcher roles in the web app; drivers see only their assigned routes in the mobile app.

You can toggle seats anytime and only pay for the seats on your plan at that moment. Charges/credits are prorated automatically when you add or remove seats.

Can I move orders from one route to another?

Yes. Select stops on a route and choose Send to another route, or drag between routes on a Route Group. Re‑optimize after moving to refresh ETAs.
