How are orders missing a shipping address handled?

If a Shopify order arrives without a valid shipping address, EasyRoutes highlights it so you can fix the address before planning. Edit the order in Shopify (preferred for data accuracy) or add the correct address details to the stop in EasyRoutes, then refresh and route. For pickup orders, set the address to your store or pickup point so drivers and staff can see the correct location on the route map and in documents. Address completeness ensures accurate ETAs, navigation, and proof‑of‑delivery records.

How do I authenticate API requests?

API access uses tokens you create in your EasyRoutes account. Follow the Getting Started guide to generate a token, store it securely, and add it to requests from your server or integration platform. Tokens work the same way for both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web. Rotate credentials periodically and avoid embedding them in client‑side code.

Do cutoff times, lead times, or blackout dates from my date picker carry into EasyRoutes?

The cutoff, lead-time, and blackout-date rules you configure live inside your date picker app and control what customers can select at checkout — EasyRoutes doesn't import those rules. What it does read is the resulting delivery date and time window the app writes onto each order, which it then uses for filtering and routing. So the customer-facing scheduling limits stay with your picker, while EasyRoutes plans around the dates and windows they produce. This applies to both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

What real-time tracking data can I see as an admin?

Admins can monitor each active route from the Tracking tab: view a live GPS pin, the recent breadcrumb path, and which stop the driver is headed to now. Stop tiles update in real time with status changes and completion times, and proof of delivery (photos, signature, notes) appears as soon as it’s captured. You can also open a Route Group to watch multiple routes/drivers concurrently.

Can I still use Shopify's built‑in delivery notifications?

Yes. In EasyRoutes for Shopify you decide whether to send messages using EasyRoutes’ customizable templates, or Shopify’s native notification flows. EasyRoutes writes tracking details to the Shopify fulfillment so the order status page and Shopify notifications include the correct link. If you enable both systems, review your templates to prevent duplicate emails/SMS.

Configuration lives in EasyRoutes notification settings; Shopify templates are managed in your Shopify admin.

See: Delivery Notifications – Email & SMS

Can I change when certain notifications are sent?

Yes. From the EasyRoutes Customer Notifications settings you can enable/disable templates per event and edit their content. Common events include Ready for Delivery, Out for Delivery, Driver is X Stops Away (configurable), Delivered, Missed Delivery, plus Scheduled and Rescheduled notices. Templates can differ for Shopify orders vs. imported/manual stops to match your data and workflow.

What Wix export settings should I use?

When exporting orders from Wix, ensure your CSV file contains one row per order line item so EasyRoutes can map details like product name and quantity correctly. Map columns such as name, street address, and phone number to the right EasyRoutes fields during import. This ensures clean, accurate order data for route creation.

See: Wix Import Guide

Does the Activity Feed capture IP address and device info?

Yes, when available. Expanding an Activity Feed entry and opening its details shows who initiated the event — a user’s email address (or Shopify user ID) or a driver’s name — along with the IP address and device details captured for that action. This makes the feed useful for tracing changes and for compliance review. Available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Can I troubleshoot missing or inaccurate tracking data?

Yes. Start with these checks:

  • The driver tapped Start Delivery;
  • Device settings allow Always/Allow all the time + Precise location;
  • Battery saver/optimization isn’t restricting background location;
  • Mobile data is on and the signal is stable;
  • The driver app is updated;
  • The driver reopened the app if it was force‑quit.

Can drivers update order statuses from the app?

Yes. Drivers can start their route — triggering Out for Delivery notifications, if enabled — mark individual stops as Delivered or Attempted, and add proof (photos, signature, notes). These updates appear instantly on the route and — if enabled — update customer tracking and notifications. Admins can review all events in the route timeline and export later for records.

Can I edit or reshape a zone after creating it?

Yes. You can reshape a zone after creating it — open Settings > Delivery Zones, select the zone, adjust its points on the map, then save your changes. You can also rename it or change its route colour at any time. Updated boundaries apply the next time you use that zone to select orders for a route. Works in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

See: Delivery Zones

Can I move orders between different routes?

Yes. From any route, use the checkboxes to select one or more stops, then click the bulk actions bar and choose Send to another route. You can also open a Route Group and drag stops from one route to another within the group. After moving, click Save and (optionally) Re‑optimize to update the stop order and ETAs. This workflow works the same in EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Use this to balance workloads mid‑day, handle late additions, or consolidate leftovers onto a cleanup route.

Can drivers capture proof of delivery from the app?

Yes. The EasyRoutes Delivery Driver mobile app supports complete proof of delivery: capture multiple photos, obtain a customer e‑signature, and add notes (e.g., where the parcel was left). PoD is stored with the stop and visible to admins; if you enable PoD on tracking pages, customers can view it as well. PoD uploads immediately when a driver has an active internet connection, and will sync when re-connected if captured while offline.

Do I need coding skills to connect Squarespace with EasyRoutes?

You don’t need to be technical to connect Squarespace with EasyRoutes. Using Zapier, you can build “if-this-then-that” workflows to automatically send Squarespace orders to EasyRoutes for route planning. For businesses that want more advanced automation, the EasyRoutes API lets developers build custom integrations and connect with other business systems. This gives you both a no-code and pro-code path to integration.

How can Workflows help automate my delivery operations?

Workflows allow you to automate many of the repetitive tasks that take up valuable time in your day-to-day delivery management. For example, if you typically log in each morning to create routes, assign them to drivers, and send customers notifications, Workflows can be set up to handle all of that automatically based on rules you define. This saves your dispatchers hours of work each week and helps eliminate mistakes, such as forgetting to notify a customer or leaving a route unassigned.

Automation also improves reliability — your drivers and customers can count on consistent, timely updates regardless of how busy your team is. In short, Workflows help standardize your operations so they run smoothly, even when volumes are high or resources are stretched thin.

See: Workflows Guide

Can EasyRoutes sync Xero orders automatically?

CSV imports are manual, but Zapier and the EasyRoutes API let you automate the process. With Zapier, new Xero invoices can be sent directly to EasyRoutes as soon as they’re created. With the API, developers can build real-time integrations that sync orders and updates automatically, keeping your delivery pipeline fully up to date.

See: Zapier Integration Guide

What languages does the Delivery Driver app support?

The Delivery Driver app interface is available in English, Dutch, and German, and drivers can set their preferred app language from the app’s settings. Separately, the customer-facing side — tracking pages and email/SMS notifications — is fully customizable, so you can write that content in whatever language your customers speak. Language options apply the same way in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

How does EasyRoutes optimize my delivery routes?

EasyRoutes builds efficient routes by combining your inputs (orders/stops and addresses) with constraints and preferences. It accounts for start and end locations, optional time windows, per‑stop service times, speed factors, and limits such as maximum duration, stops, items, or weight. You can create multiple routes at once, balance stops evenly, or optimize for the fewest routes that still meet your limits. After reviewing the map and stop list, drag‑and‑drop stops to make manual adjustments, then re‑optimize to apply changes.

Can Zapier integrate EasyRoutes with my CRM or ERP?

Zapier’s app directory includes thousands of CRMs, ERPs, and productivity tools. With EasyRoutes as the trigger, you can automatically update customer records in HubSpot when a delivery is completed, or sync invoice statuses in NetSuite when routes are dispatched. This ensures delivery data flows into the rest of your business systems seamlessly.

Does EasyRoutes show route distance and duration?

Yes. In both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web you’ll see total estimated mileage (or kilometers) and drive time for each route as soon as it’s created. These figures adjust whenever you change options, or edit stop order, and re‑optimize — so planners and drivers work from current ETAs. Travel to/from start and end locations is included when configured, and per‑stop service time is factored into ETAs shown to customers.

What are the main benefits of using EasyRoutes with WooCommerce?

By connecting WooCommerce to EasyRoutes, you unlock the full delivery management suite: optimized multi-stop routes, live driver tracking, branded notifications, proof of delivery (photos, notes, signatures), and analytics dashboards. This transforms WooCommerce from a simple order-taking tool into a complete last-mile delivery platform. Whether you’re handling 10 deliveries a week or 1,000, EasyRoutes scales with your business and improves customer satisfaction.

Can I set how much time a driver spends at each stop?

Yes. The Time per stop route option lets you set how many minutes a driver spends at each stop — parking, walking, and handing off — so routes reflect real service time, not just drive time. Set it when creating a route, and it's applied to every stop on that route.

You can also fine-tune the service time on an individual stop from its Edit stop page when a particular delivery needs longer. Works in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

My date picker app isn't in your list — will it still work with EasyRoutes?

Most likely, yes. EasyRoutes doesn't depend on a specific app — it reads the delivery date and time window from your Shopify orders. As long as your date picker writes that data into order attributes or order tags in a recognized format (for example, a "Delivery Date" attribute or a "8:00 AM - 12:00 PM" time value), it will appear in EasyRoutes. If it doesn't show up, enable the Order Tags and Order Attributes columns to view the raw data, or reach out to support.

How do I give drivers cold-chain or cooler-handling instructions for temperature-sensitive orders?

Put the handling steps where the driver will see them: add cooler or cold-chain instructions as a stop note or a saved customer note, which appear on the stop in the driver app. For steps you want confirmed, add a Driver Task — for example a required checkbox "Order kept in cooler until hand-off" or a note field — that the driver must complete before marking the stop delivered.

Saved task sets and Address Book stops let you reuse the same instructions across recurring routes. Works in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Is e-signature displayed to customers?

When a driver captures an e‑signature, customers see an indicator and timestamp on the tracking page confirming that the order was signed for. The signature image is stored with the stop for internal use (support, audits) and can be accessed by admins; it is not shown directly to customers to protect privacy.
