How quickly can I get started?

Setup is quick: install EasyRoutes (Shopify) or sign in (Web), connect drivers, select orders with filters, and click Create route. Use the defaults for service times and route options, then print or dispatch to the driver app. Most trial users reach a working route within an hour, often faster with our step‑by‑step guide.

If you import orders from outside Shopify, start with a small CSV or a few manual stops to validate the flow before scaling.

See: EasyRoutes Getting Started Guide

Can I balance stops evenly across several routes?

Yes. When creating multiple routes as a group, use the Balance routes feature to spread stops evenly across drivers and routes. Balancing respects your other settings — such as max route duration, max stops/items, custom start/end locations, and time windows — so each route remains feasible. You can also choose to create and auto‑assign routes to selected drivers, then re‑optimize each route to fine‑tune their sequence and ETAs. This feature is available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web and is especially helpful for daily batch planning.

Can I preview my notification templates before sending them?

Yes. Open any template in the Notifications editor and use Preview with Example Data to see how your message will render, including variables. You can also send a real‑world test by creating a draft order or manual stop with your own contact details, and triggering notifications on a sample route. Preview/testing tools are available for both email and SMS on Shopify and Web.

Can EasyRoutes integrate with other business tools?

Yes. Integrate EasyRoutes with your existing stack in two ways: (1) programmatically via the Routes API to import stops, create/dispatch routes, and update status; and (2) event‑driven with webhooks and Zapier to push delivery events into Sheets, Slack, email, ERPs/CRMs, or custom endpoints. These options are available for both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

See: API Getting Started Guide · Integrate webhooks with Zapier

How do I authenticate API requests?

API access uses tokens you create in your EasyRoutes account. Follow the Getting Started guide to generate a token, store it securely, and add it to requests from your server or integration platform. Tokens work the same way for both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web. Rotate credentials periodically and avoid embedding them in client‑side code.

See: EasyRoutes API Getting Started Guide

What actions can I perform in EasyRoutes using Zapier?

Zapier lets you automate actions inside EasyRoutes, such as importing stops from external systems. For example, a Zap could take new orders from WooCommerce or Xero and create delivery stops inside EasyRoutes automatically. This eliminates manual data entry and keeps your routes up-to-date in real time.

See: Zapier Integration Guide

Can I delete or archive old routes?

Yes. In both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web you can keep route history tidy by archiving routes you no longer need to manage daily, or permanently delete them. Use the checkboxes to select desired routes from the Routes page, and use the actions menu to archive or delete. Archiving preserves stop records, proof of delivery (photos/signature/notes), and analytics, so you can still search and export later. Deleting removes the route from Route History — make sure to export any reports you need first.

Use filters on the Routes page to show active, completed, or archived runs when you’re reconciling a period.

What is the Activity Feed in EasyRoutes?

The Activity Feed provides an up‑to‑date audit trail across EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web. It records events like route creation/dispatch, stop status updates (Out for Delivery, Delivered, Attempted), driver assignments, and proof‑of‑delivery uploads. Use it to investigate issues, answer customer inquiries with precise timestamps, and validate operational changes during a delivery day.

See: Activity Feed

How do I change my plan?

You can upgrade or downgrade anytime from EasyRoutes Settings. Plan changes take effect immediately and we’ll prorate charges/credits for the remainder of your current cycle. If you also adjust the number of driver seats, those changes are prorated as well. Billing is handled via Shopify (EasyRoutes for Shopify) or Stripe (EasyRoutes for Web), depending on your product.

Can customers give feedback through their tracking page?

Yes. Delivery Ratings allow recipients to provide quick feedback from the tracking page right after their order is delivered. You can collect a star rating and an optional comment, then export results or segment by driver to monitor individual performance and service quality. Ratings help highlight coaching opportunities and verify customer satisfaction trends over time.

See: Delivery Ratings

How do drivers sign in to the app?

To sign in, add the driver to your EasyRoutes account (Shopify or Web) with their phone number. The driver installs the app and enters that number; we send a one‑time SMS code to complete sign‑in. Routes assigned to that number appear automatically. If a driver changes phone numbers, update their driver profile so dispatch and permissions match.

Can I move orders from one route to another?

Yes. From any route, use the checkboxes to select one or more stops, then click the bulk actions bar and choose Send to another route. You can also open a Route Group and drag stops from one route to another within the group. After moving, click Save and (optionally) Re‑optimize to update the stop order and ETAs. This workflow works the same in EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Use this to balance workloads mid‑day, handle late additions, or consolidate leftovers onto a cleanup route.

Can I export customer delivery data?

Yes. From the Routes page or an individual route, export CSV files containing stop information (customer name, address, contact fields), timing, driver assignments, and URLs to any proof of delivery items. Use these exports for customer service, accounting reconciliation, or analysis in spreadsheets and external tools.

What are the main benefits of using EasyRoutes with BigCommerce?

By integrating BigCommerce with EasyRoutes, you get a complete delivery management solution: multi-stop route optimization, real-time driver tracking, branded customer notifications, proof of delivery (photos, notes, signatures), and analytics. This turns BigCommerce from a storefront into a powerful logistics tool, helping you scale local delivery with confidence.

Can I move from Shopify Local Delivery to EasyRoutes?

Yes. EasyRoutes is built to replace and extend Shopify Local Delivery. It reads your existing Local Delivery orders — including checkout delivery instructions — and adds route optimization, driver dispatch, live tracking, customer notifications, and proof of delivery on top. Install from the Shopify App Store and your orders sync automatically, so there's no manual re-entry. The same routing tools are also available in EasyRoutes for Web.

Can I export my routes for reporting or analysis?

Yes. From the Routes page or an individual route view, export to CSV for all relevant route data points. Exports include stop details, timestamps, driver assignments, and URLs to related proof of delivery (photos/signature/notes). Use these files for accounting, customer service follow‑up, or analysis in spreadsheets or external tools. Exports are supported in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

What Wix export settings should I use?

When exporting orders from Wix, ensure your CSV file contains one row per order line item so EasyRoutes can map details like product name and quantity correctly. Map columns such as name, street address, and phone number to the right EasyRoutes fields during import. This ensures clean, accurate order data for route creation.

See: Wix Import Guide

Can proof of delivery items be shared with customers?

Yes. Both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web can surface proof of delivery (PoD) to customers. Enable PoD display on tracking pages and decide which delivery events should send links via email/SMS. When a driver completes a stop, PoD is attached to that stop and becomes available to customers according to your settings. Admins always see PoD in route and stop details for auditing or future reference.

How do I import WooCommerce orders into EasyRoutes?

Importing WooCommerce orders is straightforward. Using a plugin like WebToffee, you can export orders from your WooCommerce dashboard in CSV format. Once exported, you simply drag and drop the CSV file into EasyRoutes. The system will map fields like customer name, address, and quantity automatically, and you can confirm or adjust mappings before creating optimized delivery routes. This makes it easy to bring WooCommerce data into your delivery workflow.

See: WooCommerce Import Guide

What are some pre-built Zapier templates for EasyRoutes?

Zapier includes ready-to-use templates to help you get started quickly. Examples include sending Gmail alerts when a stop is delivered, creating rows in Google Sheets when a route updates, or updating project management tools like Trello with delivery status. These templates save setup time and let you deploy automations in just a few clicks.

See: EasyRoutes Zapier Templates

Can I set specific start or end locations for my routes?

Yes. Configure a start location (e.g., your store, a local warehouse, or a driver's home base) and an end location (e.g., a depot, final stop, or loop back to the route's start location) on each route. These points are included in optimization and time estimates, so drivers see realistic drive times and customers receive accurate ETAs. You can set defaults in Route Options, then override per route as needed. For multi‑warehouse operations, create routes that begin near each inventory location to reduce deadhead driving. In both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web, you can adjust these locations after route creation and re‑optimize to update the sequence and times.

See: Start/End Locations

Can I move orders between different routes?

See: How do I move orders to another route?

Can I send tracking links via SMS?

Yes. Enable SMS in EasyRoutes Settings → Customer notifications and include the tracking URL in templates such as Ready for Delivery, Out for Delivery, Driver is X Stops Away, Delivered, and Missed Delivery. SMS is supported in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web on Premium/Enterprise plans, and is billed per message segment by country. Use the preview tool to verify variables before sending.

See: Delivery Notifications – SMS · EasyRoutes SMS Pricing

Can I auto-dispatch routes?

Yes. Enable automatic dispatch so newly created routes with a scheduled start time are assigned and sent to the chosen driver immediately — no extra clicks. Use this for recurring daily runs or integrations that create routes programmatically. You can still edit or un-dispatch a route before start time if plans change.

See: Automatically dispatching a route

Can I require ID or signature confirmation for restricted items?

Yes for signature: in Driver settings you can require an e-signature (and/or photo) before a stop can be marked delivered, and customize the signature disclosure text shown to the recipient. For the ID portion, add a required Driver Task — a checkbox or text field confirming the ID check — so the driver can't complete a restricted stop without it.

Together these enforce a consistent, documented hand-off, though the age/ID check itself is performed by the driver rather than verified automatically. Works in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

See: Proof of Delivery · Driver Tasks

What happens to orders that fall outside my delivery zones?

When you plan a route with the Delivery zones option enabled, only orders that fall inside the selected zone’s boundary are added. Any orders outside the boundary are held back for review rather than dropped, so nothing gets lost — you can route them separately, assign them to another zone, or handle them manually. Works in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.
