Since our last update, we've added lots of improvements to core EasyRoutes functionality, and are preparing to launch one of our most-requested features — read on to find out how you can be one of the first to try it out! Here's some of the highlights from May and June.
We've made a number of changes to the EasyRoutes Orders page layout, making it easier to access and update active Route Options; filter, add, and remove orders for routing; and work with the map when visually planning routes.
The map view now takes up less space on the Orders page by default. To activate the map and enable visual planning tools, simply add orders to the map to begin. If you prefer to work with a larger map when planning routes, click the Expand map button highlighted below:
By default, active Route Options are listed to the right of the map view. When the map is expanded, active Route Options will shift to the panel below the map. Click any active Route Option's name to configure it further, or click the Edit route options button (highlighted below) at the top of the page to activate and configure additional options:
Stop type tabs, column display tools, custom/imported stop tools, and the order filter search bar now reside immediately below any active Route Options. Individual filter controls remain on the left-hand side of the page, between the map and orders table.
The EasyRoutes Delivery Driver mobile app for both iOS and Android devices has been updated to version 1.0.73. This release features a number of core framework upgrades for improved performance across all app functions - particularly background driver location tracking and driver login workflows - as well as a visual refresh for better at-a-glance accessibility to key delivery details and any assigned Vehicle Profiles.
This version of the mobile app also includes a new diagnostics reporting tool to help our team resolve any technical support inquiries as quickly as possible.
Drivers will need to update to the latest version of the mobile app (version 1.0.73 or above) in order to take advantage of these new features and improvements within the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver mobile app.
We've introduced three new ways to interact with your EasyRoutes stops and routes using our native APIs:
For full details on configuring each of these new EasyRoutes APIs, refer to our AddRouteStops, DeleteRouteStops, and ReoptimizeRoute support documentation.
We've also added two new ways to interact with your EasyRoutes data using our no-code Zapier integrations. In addition to existing webhook support and our Import Stop action, users can now create custom Zaps using our Stop Status Updated and Route Updated triggers.
For more details on Zapier integration scenarios, start by reviewing the EasyRoutes API Getting Started Guide, or visit EasyRoutes on Zapier to begin configuring your own custom Zap.
EasyRoutes' upcoming Workflows feature allows users to set custom scheduling and order filter options, and automatically generate routes on a recurring basis - whether daily, weekly, or monthly. Configure a Workflow once and wake up to routes that are ready to dispatch in seconds.
While this exciting new feature is under active development, we'd love to hear your feedback on how it can help streamline and improve your route planning workflows.
Want to be one of the first to give it a try? Reach out to our team and let us know you're interested in early access to EasyRoutes Workflows — we'll reach out directly as soon as your store has been added to our testing pool.
Nearly two years after first joining the Built for Shopify (BFS) program, EasyRoutes was honoured to be included in this year's Editions.dev showcase of the top 25 BFS apps available in the Shopify App Store. The BFS program continues to celebrate the top apps across various categories that meet Shopify's highest quality benchmarks for trustworthiness, speed, and ease of use.
