Frequently Asked Questions

Get quick answers to the most common questions about EasyRoutes—setup, routes, drivers, and more.

Can I require drivers to start a route before tracking begins?

Yes. In both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web you can enforce a start action. When a driver taps Start Delivery in the mobile app, EasyRoutes records the route start time and begins live location updates. This prevents drivers from completing stops out of context and ensures analytics include drive time from the route's start location. If a route must be paused, drivers can resume later to continue tracking.

How do I enable real-time driver tracking in EasyRoutes?

Enable live tracking from EasyRoutes Settings → Driver settings in either EasyRoutes for Shopify or EasyRoutes for Web. Next, ensure each driver signs in to the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app (iOS/Android) and grants Always/Allow all the time location access with Precise location enabled. Once routes are started by a driver, location pins appear on the route’s Tracking tab. If privacy is a concern, you can restrict tracking for internal use only, or adjust the route expiry window for driver access.

Which plans include real-time driver tracking?

Real-time GPS tracking is included with EasyRoutes Premium and Enterprise plans across both product lines (Shopify and Web). When enabled, you can follow driver position in real time, view a breadcrumb trail of recent movement, and see live stop status/ETAs on the route. Turn it on from EasyRoutes Settings → Driver settings, and ensure drivers grant background/precise location permissions in the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app (iOS/Android).

Can I export my routes for reporting or analysis?

Yes. From the Routes page or an individual route view, export to CSV for all relevant route data points. Exports include stop details, timestamps, driver assignments, and URLs to related proof of delivery (photos/signature/notes). Use these files for accounting, customer service follow‑up, or analysis in spreadsheets or external tools. Exports are supported in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Can I print my route details for drivers?

Yes. Open a route and click Print to generate driver‑friendly documents in stop order: a compact route summary, packing slips, or packing labels. You can adjust content and sizing in Settings → Packing Slips & Labels, then print or choose Save as PDF for tablet use or record‑keeping. This workflow is identical in EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

For multi‑package orders, print one label per item; for quick loading, include the Route Inventory/Packing List so teams can stage by stop.

Does EasyRoutes keep a history of my past routes?

Yes. EasyRoutes maintains a route history so you can review previous runs, proof of delivery, and timing information on either EasyRoutes product (Shopify and Web). Use the Routes page to filter by status (unstarted/in progress/completed/archived) and date. Open any route to view stop details and the Activity Feed particulars for that route. You can also export route/stop data for period‑end reporting or audits.

If you don’t see older orders on the Orders page, adjust the Show orders from the last window in Settings; this does not affect existing route history.

Can I delete or archive old routes?

Yes. In both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web you can keep route history tidy by archiving routes you no longer need to manage daily, or permanently delete them. Use the checkboxes to select desired routes from the Routes page, and use the actions menu to archive or delete. Archiving preserves stop records, proof of delivery (photos/signature/notes), and analytics, so you can still search and export later. Deleting removes the route from Route History — make sure to export any reports you need first.

Use filters on the Routes page to show active, completed, or archived runs when you’re reconciling a period.

Can I reverse the order of stops in a route?

Yes. If you need to drive the same set of stops in the opposite direction (e.g., afternoon run), open the route, choose the actions menu (three dots), and click Reverse route. The stop list flips order and ETAs update based on your scheduled start time and stop service times. This tool is available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web. You can still drag‑and‑drop to fine‑tune any exceptions or stops that require particular attention.

Can I dispatch a route to a driver from EasyRoutes?

Yes. From any route you can dispatch to a specific driver, or share a route link that allows self‑assignment by your driver pool. Assigned drivers receive the route in the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app (iOS/Android) with turn‑by‑turn directions via their preferred navigation app. For busy days, combine dispatch with Route Groups to release multiple routes at once and monitor progress on a single screen. This behaviour is consistent across EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Can I duplicate a route for future use?

Yes. To repeat a regular run, open the route and use the actions menu to duplicate/copy it, then set a new date/time, driver, and any updated options. Re‑optimize to account for traffic windows or new constraints. You can also copy only a subset of stops by selecting them and sending them to a new route. This approach works in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.
