We’ve expanded the EasyRoutes API’s Shopify support, so custom integrations can now build and maintain routes directly from Shopify orders, the same way EasyRoutes users can in the app. As part of this change, users can now:
- Add Shopify orders to a route: a new endpoint adds up to 200 Shopify orders to an existing route in a single request, as stops linked to their orders, with no need to import them first. New stops are added to the end of the route.
- Update stops created from Shopify orders: the endpoints for updating a stop’s details, location, and tasks now work for stops created from Shopify orders as well as imported stops. Details that come from the order itself stay in sync with Shopify, and an updated stop location is kept when the route’s orders are resynced.
- Choose a stop’s items: a new endpoint selects which items from a Shopify order a stop delivers, from its unfulfilled items or from a specific fulfillment. Custom items can also be added to these stops alongside the order’s own items.
- View Shopify IDs on stop items: stop items now include their Shopify product, variant, line item, and fulfillment IDs, and show whether each item came from a Shopify order or was added as a custom item, making it easier to match stop items back to their orders.
Note: Stops added through the API in this manner are created exactly as each request specifies: order automation rules and fulfillment selection settings (i.e. those configured in your EasyRoutes Settings > Automations tab) are not applied to them. Instead, each request specifies which of an order’s items to use, and non-shippable items are included unless the request excludes them.
