Can I edit or reshape a zone after creating it?

Yes. You can reshape a zone after creating it — open Settings > Delivery Zones, select the zone, adjust its points on the map, then save your changes. You can also rename it or change its route colour at any time. Updated boundaries apply the next time you use that zone to select orders for a route. Works in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Can I archive or delete zones I no longer use?

Yes. In Settings > Delivery Zones, tick the zones you no longer need and click Archive to remove them from your active list. Archived zones aren’t gone for good — use the Add filter control below the map to show Archived or All, then select and Unarchive any you want back. This keeps your active zone list tidy without losing past boundaries. Available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Does EasyRoutes add tracking links to Shopify orders automatically?

Yes. Fulfilling an order from EasyRoutes creates a Shopify fulfillment that includes the EasyRoutes tracking number and URL. Customers see the link on the order status page and in applicable Shopify notifications. If templates were heavily customized, you may need to ensure the standard tracking snippet is present.

Can drivers mark a stop as attempted/failed and record a reason?

Yes. When a stop can’t be completed, drivers mark it Attempted instead of Delivered from the Update Status section on the stop. They can choose a preset reason (for example, no answer, inaccessible, or Canceled) and add a note or proof of delivery to document what happened. The reason then appears on the stop’s details and feeds into your delivery analytics. Works in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Are proof-of-delivery captures geo-stamped / GPS-tagged?

Yes. When location capture is enabled, EasyRoutes records the driver’s GPS location and a timestamp alongside each proof-of-delivery entry — photos, e-signature, notes, and barcode scans — so every completed stop has a location and time on record. You can review these details on the route’s stop entries and include driver location when exporting stop data for your files. Available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Does EasyRoutes work with Shopify’s built-in notifications?

Yes. In EasyRoutes for Shopify you can choose between EasyRoutes’ customizable notifications and Shopify’s built‑in notifications. When using Shopify templates, EasyRoutes maps delivery events (e.g., Out for Delivery, Delivered; Missed Delivery for Local Delivery) to Shopify’s corresponding notifications and attaches the tracking link on fulfillment. To prevent double‑sending, review Shopify’s notification settings and disable overlapping templates when EasyRoutes emails/SMS are enabled.

Does EasyRoutes work without Shopify?

Yes. If you don’t use Shopify, EasyRoutes for Web provides the same core workflow — order intake, route planning, dispatch, tracking, proof of delivery, and analytics. Bring orders in via CSV uploads, the Routes API, or webhooks/Zapier. You can also mix non‑Shopify orders with Shopify orders if you operate via multiple e-commerce channels.

Customer tracking pages and notifications work the same, and drivers use the same EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app.

Can EasyRoutes send delivery notifications for BigCommerce orders?

Yes. Once imported into EasyRoutes, BigCommerce orders behave the same as other orders. Customers receive branded notifications by email or SMS, including links to real-time tracking pages. This reduces support calls and gives customers confidence in their deliveries. See: Notifications & Tracking

Can I notify customers of delivery delays with EasyRoutes?

Yes. In EasyRoutes Settings → Customer notifications, enable the Rescheduled template and customize the message and variables (date, window, tracking link, etc.). Trigger it when routes or stops move to a new day/time so recipients are informed proactively. This works for both Shopify orders and imported/manual stops across EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

What are the digital inventory/loading checklists and how do drivers use them?

EasyRoutes automatically builds an inventory (packing checklist) for every route so drivers know exactly what to load before heading out. In the Delivery Driver app, tap Inventory below the map to switch between Summary view (all items and quantities for the route), Items view (each item with its stop), and Orders view (items per stop in route order). Drivers can check items off as they load. Available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Do I need coding skills to use Workflows?

No, you don’t need to be a developer to take advantage of Workflows. The Workflows feature is designed to be accessible to non-technical users by using a visual, menu-based interface. You simply select a scheduling frequency, define any conditions (like “only include orders tagged Local Delivery”), and choose an action (for example, “create and dispatch a route”).

This no-code design makes Workflows similar to popular automation tools like Zapier or Shopify Flow, where anyone can build powerful automations just by clicking and selecting from available options. That said, more advanced users can extend Workflows with APIs or webhooks to create complex, custom integrations, giving both beginners and power users maximum flexibility.

Can drivers upload proof from their phone gallery?

Yes. In addition to taking photos in‑app, drivers can attach images from the phone’s gallery when you allow this option. It’s especially useful when a photo was captured by the camera app while offline; the driver adds it later, and EasyRoutes syncs the proof and timestamps once connectivity returns.

Does EasyRoutes support vehicle capacity limits?

Yes. When optimizing, set per‑route limits (max items/weight) so loads fit the assigned vehicle. You can also create Vehicle Profiles for an additional indicator for routes that have specific restrictions by vehicle, and enable route constraints (e.g., avoid tolls or U‑turns), and reuse them across routes. These settings help prevent overloads and keep route planning aligned with your real fleet.

What WooCommerce plugins are recommended for exporting orders?

The WebToffee “Order Export & Import for WooCommerce” plugin is one of the recommended tools for exporting WooCommerce orders to CSV. It lets you configure export settings like separating line items, which ensures EasyRoutes can correctly map customer and order details. Other export tools may work, but WebToffee is the most commonly documented and tested option.

How do I import Xero invoices into EasyRoutes?

From your Xero dashboard, go to the Business tab → Invoices, then use the Export button to download a CSV of the invoices you want to deliver. In EasyRoutes, click “Import new CSV” and upload the file. The system maps fields such as contact name, address, invoice number, and product details to create delivery-ready routes. Can proof be shown for attempted deliveries?

Yes. Drivers can add photos and notes for attempts (e.g., no answer, inaccessible). You can make PoD mandatory for Attempted stops, so drivers document the situation before moving on. Attempt proof appears with the stop’s history for admins and, if enabled, on customer tracking pages/notifications to explain what happened.

Which plans include real-time driver tracking?

Real-time GPS tracking is included with EasyRoutes Premium and Enterprise plans across both product lines (Shopify and Web). When enabled, you can follow driver position in real time, view a breadcrumb trail of recent movement, and see live stop status/ETAs on the route. Turn it on from EasyRoutes Settings → Driver settings, and ensure drivers grant background/precise location permissions in the EasyRoutes Delivery Driver app (iOS/Android).

Can I use EasyRoutes at multiple locations?

Yes. EasyRoutes supports multi‑location operations. You can set unique start/end locations on routes (store, warehouse, driver home base), segment orders by delivery zone or location tags, and dispatch drivers from different hubs on the same day. Route Groups make it easy to manage several routes per location and monitor all drivers together.

This applies across EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Can I preview my notifications before sending them?

Yes. Open any template in the Notifications editor and use Preview with Example Data to see how your message will render, including variables. You can also send a real‑world test by creating a draft order or manual stop with your own contact details, and triggering notifications on a sample route. Preview/testing tools are available for both email and SMS on Shopify and Web.

Does EasyRoutes support real-time updates for BigCommerce orders?

By default, CSV imports are static snapshots. For real-time updates, use Zapier to push new BigCommerce orders into EasyRoutes automatically, or build a direct integration with the API. This ensures address changes, order edits, or cancellations in BigCommerce are reflected in your delivery routes without manual intervention. See: Zapier Integration

Can the app work offline?

Yes. EasyRoutes Delivery Driver supports low‑connectivity scenarios. Have drivers open or refresh the route while connected to preload stops and attachments. If signal drops, they can continue navigating (via their chosen maps app), mark stops delivered/attempted, and capture photos/signatures. The app queues events locally and syncs them back to EasyRoutes as soon as the device reconnects, updating ETAs and tracking automatically.

Can I send notifications for imported or manual stops?

Yes. Manual and imported stops can send the same email/SMS notifications as Shopify orders once configured. In EasyRoutes Settings → Customer notifications, enable templates under the Imported Orders sections and ensure each stop includes an email address and or phone number. Use tracking links to provide status and proof of delivery even when the source isn’t Shopify.

What permissions do drivers need to enable tracking?

For reliable live tracking, drivers should: (1) sign in to EasyRoutes Delivery Driver; (2) allow Always/Allow all the time location access; (3) enable Precise location; and (4) keep battery optimization from restricting the app (disable aggressive battery saver if needed). These settings apply on both iOS and Android and can be checked from device Settings.

What real-time tracking data can I see as an admin?

Admins can monitor each active route from the Tracking tab: view a live GPS pin, the recent breadcrumb path, and which stop the driver is headed to now. Stop tiles update in real time with status changes and completion times, and proof of delivery (photos, signature, notes) appears as soon as it’s captured. You can also open a Route Group to watch multiple routes/drivers concurrently.

How do I manage my active drivers?

Invite drivers from the Drivers & Vehicles tab, then assign a driver seat to activate them. Deactivate drivers anytime to free a seat without deleting their profile or history. You can switch which people occupy seats as staffing changes — ideal for seasonal or on-call drivers. These controls are available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

Can routes be re-optimized after creation?

Yes. Both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web let you re‑optimize a route whenever plans change. Use this feature after you add or remove stops, change stop priorities, edit time windows or service times, or adjust limits like max route duration and stop limits. You can also balance stops across multiple routes first, then re‑optimize each route to tighten the sequence. If permitted in your Driver Settings, drivers may manually re‑order stops from the driver app or re‑optimize the remaining stops in their route to recalculate ETAs after mid‑route changes. For API‑driven workflows, use the Routes API to programmatically update routes and trigger re‑optimization.
