Yes. When you configure a Scanner-input Driver Task, tick the Delivered and/or Attempted checkboxes to make a successful scan mandatory before that status can be applied. You can also require a Barcode Scan as proof of delivery from Settings > Driver Settings. Either way, drivers can’t mark the stop complete until the scan is captured. Available on Premium and Enterprise plans, in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

If a scanned code doesn’t match the stop, the app shows it in yellow rather than the green used for a confirmed match, so the driver can tell right away. Non-matching scans can still be saved, and drivers can flag a scan issue from the alert icon on the Add Barcode screen, which sends a report to the route planner instead of a matched scan. Works the same in EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.
From your Orders page, open Add/edit options, find the Driver tasks card and click Enable, then Add new task and choose the Scanner input type. Give it a name (e.g. “Scan product barcode”) and, if you want it enforced, tick Delivered and/or Attempted to require a scan before the stop can be completed. Save, and drivers are prompted to scan at each stop. Driver tasks are available on Premium and Enterprise plans.

Yes. Alongside EasyRoutes-native barcodes, drivers can scan existing product or order barcodes and QR codes — including supplier UPC, EAN, Code 128, and 2D formats like QR and Data Matrix — using the phone camera. Externally generated codes are captured and stored with the stop for reference, though match validation (the green/yellow confirmation) applies to EasyRoutes-native codes. Available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.
EasyRoutes-native barcodes are QR codes generated by EasyRoutes and printed on your packing slips and labels; each is tied to a specific stop, so a scan can be validated as a match. Existing product or order barcodes (like a supplier’s UPC) aren’t tied to a stop that way — drivers can still scan and record them as proof, but match validation is strongest with EasyRoutes-native codes. Both work in EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.

From any route or the Orders page, click the + Add button under the map and choose Custom stop, then fill in the stop details with a valid address — EasyRoutes auto-fills matches from your Address Book as you type. Tick “Save to address book” to reuse a frequent stop later, and re-optimize if you’d like it slotted into the best position. It’s the same flow whether you’re on EasyRoutes for Shopify or EasyRoutes for Web.

Yes. When location capture is enabled, EasyRoutes records the driver’s GPS location and a timestamp alongside each proof-of-delivery entry — photos, e-signature, notes, and barcode scans — so every completed stop has a location and time on record. You can review these details on the route’s stop entries and include driver location when exporting stop data for your files. Available in both EasyRoutes for Shopify and EasyRoutes for Web.
Yes. You can add an EasyRoutes-native QR code to your packing slips and packing labels from Settings > Packing Slips & Labels by enabling the Show QR code option and setting its position. Drivers can then scan these codes with the Delivery Driver app to confirm the right order at the right stop, and you can optionally require a successful scan before a stop is marked Delivered or Attempted.
